Prospective Students

The Emory Dance Program offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Movement Studies. A minor in Dance and Movement Studies is also available. This degree is normally completed in four years and requires completion of the dance major/minor requirements in addition to the General Education Requirements of the Emory College of Arts and Sciences.

Admission to Emory

The Dance Program does not handle admissions to Emory University; this is coordinated through the Emory University Office of Undergraduate Admission. Please see the website for the Office of Undergraduate Admission for application and financial aid information.

If you already have a bachelor's degree and are seeking a second bachelor's, you must contact the Laney Graduate School for information at 404-727-6028 or

The Emory Dance Program does not require an audition to major or minor in dance. Once enrolled at Emory, students planning to major or minor in dance should schedule a meeting to discuss their plans with one of the Program’s full-time faculty.

Please send links to dance performances (on YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) to Anna Leo (, the admissions liaison for dance. You are also welcome to mail a DVD and written supplemental material to the Dance Program at the address below. Any material sent to us must have the student's full name exactly as it is listed on the Common Application, address, birth date, and school name.
