Emory Dance Company

The Emory Dance Company (EDC) is a professionally oriented student performance company. Students are exposed to the diverse choreographic approaches of faculty, students, and guest artists, as well as historical reconstructions. The primary focus of the repertoire is the creation and performance of new work that investigates aspects of our humanity.

Company members broaden their performance, improvisational, and collaborative skills, while contributing to the making of original choreography. They also gain experience in technical aspects of dance concert production. EDC performances are fully produced each semester. Entrance is by audition, and students receive course credit.
